Even though the size of the shrimp in the Shrimp & Grits was reduced, the flavor is still incredible. I hope they are able to source the larger shrimp again soon. I travel to LA 4-5x per year, and I stop here every time.

My friend and I came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It was a late lunch so it wasn't busy at all and we got to choose a table to sit at. Food: I ordered a nashville vegetarian chicken sandwich with a side of crinkle cut fries. The chicken sandwich was very good, and the crinkle cut fries were crisp & delicious. My friend ordered chicken tenders and a side of mac & cheese. The chicken tenders were slathered in sauce, and my friend enjoyed them. I tried her mac & cheese and it was pretty good. Service: Our server was friendly and quick. It was a slow time so I think there were only two people working the front. Our server was quick to greet us and take our order. Our food came out promptly as well. TL;DR - delicious chicken place with vegetarian options!

Cute spot off Fairfax. The chicken sandwiches are crispy on the outside and pretty juicy on the inside. Good drink selection and cute bar area. Order on your phone and it's probably good for big groups.

Vegetarian perspective: i think that the vegetarian chicken is seitan and its SO crispy and good flavor! Waffles are super fluffy, and love the consistency because the sweet chick location in NY was amazing too. Pretty much everything on the menu has a vegetarian option so always a great place to eat at.

My visit to Sweet Chick Fairfax in Los Angeles left me with mixed feelings. There were aspects I really enjoyed, but there were also some disappointments. First, the positives: The ambiance is trendy and comfortable, with a lively atmosphere that's perfect for hanging out with friends. The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Now, onto the food: The chicken and waffles dish was FIRE, with the chicken being crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The combination of sweet and savory flavors is always a winner. The variety of dipping sauces offered added a nice touch to the meal. I recommend this However, there were some downsides. The Mac and Cheese was NOT MAC'N. The menu prices felt a bit on the higher side for the portion sizes. While the food was good, it didn't quite live up to the high expectations I had heard about Sweet Chick. I was hoping for a more memorable culinary experience. Additionally, the wait time for our food was longer than expected, and the restaurant was quite noisy, making it challenging to have a conversation without raising our voices. In summary, Sweet Chick Fairfax is a decent spot for comfort food and has a trendy vibe, but it might not fully justify the higher prices and wait times for some diners. If you're in the mood for chicken and waffles and don't mind a lively atmosphere, it's worth a visit, but manage your expectations accordingly.

Yummy!! Super delicious chicken and waffles. I got the classic. Server was friendly and attentive. Came in for lunch on a weekday so not a lot of energy but I didn't mind, they were playing good music so I was overall happy and satisfied.

4.5 The decor of Sweet Chick is pretty basic. I was underwhelmed at the menu because there weren't a lot of options for a brunch spot. But then I realized that there were more options than I've seen anywhere. I got the chicken and waffles. For the chicken you could choose whole pieces or tenders. I've never seen an option before. You could even choose which pieces of chicken you wanted. And on top of that you could choose your flavor. Think WingStop or a Korean fried chicken spot type of options. Some options included Buffalo, Maple chipotle, Nashville hot, lemon pepper. You even got options of how to get your waffles including apple cinnamon, bacon cheddar, and chocolate chip. I ended up getting the Soy honey, garlic chicken and the special pumpkin pie waffle. The soy honey garlic chicken reminded me of Korean fried chicken. It was crispy and the flavor was bold with a touch of sweetness. It was amazing. The pumpkin pie waffle was amazing as well. You could tell that the butters and sauces were house made. That was definitely not something I was expecting. They give you Lemon honey butter and raspberry butter. They were amazing but didn't really go with go with the pumpkin pie waffle but tasted great. The consistency of the waffle was crisp on the outside and sort donut consistency once you pass the exterior. My be the best I've had. The House made blue cheese dressing that came with the buffalo chicken was bomb! The music playing sounded like it was the orginal R&B songs that were sampled in popular raps (E.G.footsteps in the dark by Isley brothers.) Not surprising since the rapper Nas is a part owner of the restaurant. It's a chain started in New York. This might be my new LA chicken and waffles go to spot. ...I said what I said.

Great vibes, food, and service! A group of four of us were seated right away and our server was extremely friendly. The chicken is well seasoned, the fries were hot and crispy, and the waffles were perfectly buttery and sweet. We all enjoyed our food, especially the buffalo tenders with fries. Highly recommend for a casual lunch spot with a fun atmosphere!

It's been a while since I've been here which means it's time for a visit. I got the vegan chicken with sides that didn't disappoint. The vibe here is always a vibe no matter what time of day you go. The service feels like your family and close friends. The only thing is that it's a busy street so if you can use a ride service or try your luck with the parking. If they add valet this will sure be a gem I frequent more.

Ooof, I've never had Chicken and Waffles but let me tell you, I'm glad this place was my first try. The batter of the waffles were fluffed (which i like) and the chicken was crisp but also juicy on the inside! There were serving drinks, but nothing special. I'd be going for the food. There was also a DJ playing so it was cute to be with friends and jam out. You're in Melrose so cute lil shops are what's around you ( I noticed that a lot in LA lol). No one served us since everything is with technology now a days, but the food came out quick & warm!
